The C&JIPs will improve travel efficiency, minimise conflict between different modes of transport, enhance road safety for cyclists and pedestrians, promote commuter well-being and productivity through optimized travel times, and yield other similar positive results. The Plans would demonstrate a comprehensive approach for the development/improvement of other corridors and junctions in Pune (and also other cities) by adopting strategies to reduce transport-related GHG emissions and prioritising safe, inclusive, and sustainable mobility.

The preparation of C&JIPs is an additional initiative proposed by the Pune Municipal Corporation to be implemented under the UrbanShift Country Project.
